As a child Nisha could be found doing one of two things, drawing or singing. She always prided herself as being able to draw bodied people while her classmates were still drawing stick figures.
Nisha attended the Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary for a foundation year but then decided to take a detour and get her Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. She had a successful career in the oil and gas industry for 19 years enabling her to travel to Italy, Switzerland, France, London, Spain, Ireland, Mexico, Bora Bora, Moorea, as well as throughout the United States and Canada. She experienced many different of foods, people, cultures, architecture and arts. Throughout this time she continued to paint always in layers with hidden messages, meanings and lots of colors.
On one of her family trips to Las Vegas she met the love of her life and completely uprooted her life and career to move Charlotte, NC. Being in a new environment, having time to reflect on her career, life and travels, Nisha has created several new series of paintings (Manifestation, Trees and Abstracts). The driving force behind each series focuses on growth and exploration of the world around her. Where has this new beginning taken her…where will this journey take her? Where will her paintings take you?
